Dr Peter W. Mitchell Ground Engineering Technical Leader – Asia Pacific, Aurecon; Adjunct Professor School of Civil, Environmental and Mining Engineering, University of Adelaide

Dr Peter W. Mitchell is a Ground Engineering Technical Leader Asia Pacific with Aurecon and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Civil, Environmental and Mining Engineering at the University of Adelaide. He holds Honours, Masters and PhD degrees from the University of Adelaide and has been involved in major geotechnical projects throughout Australia, South-East Asia and the South Pacific.

Dr Mitchell has contributed over 100 papers, publications and presentations in the field of Geomechanics, including many presentations given to state chapters of the Australian Geomechanics Society.

Dr Mitchell was awarded the honour of being named the current Geotechnical Practitioner of the Year, given by the Australian Geomechanics Society recognising “contributions of the highest order over an extended period.”
