The 14th Australia & New Zealand Conference on Geomechanics ran for four days at the Cairns Convention Centre for 480 attendees from 16 countries.
The ANZ2023 Organising Committee—led by Richard Kelly, Robert May and David Lacey—curated a terrific program of 190 speakers and 46 digital posters. The event was generously supported by 21 corporate sponsors and 37 trade exhibitors.
Some of the highlights on the program include:
- Keynote presentations by John Carter, Shiao Huey Chow, Anna Giacomini, Vaughan Griffiths, Daniel King, Ellen Rathje, & Merrick Taylor.
- Professor Mark Jaksa will present the AGS’ John Jaeger Memorial Lecture
- Ann Williams will present the NZGS Honour Lecture
- A wonderful collection of eight speakers will deliver the Scott Sloan Memorial Session
