The AGS NSW Chapter Subcommittee on Numerical Methods and AI in Practice invites all AGS members to share their experiences and insights on how they are integrating Generative AI into their geotechnical engineering workflows.
Generative AI is revolutionising how we work, from simplifying routine tasks to automating complex procedures. This is an opportunity to showcase how you are leveraging this technology in your day-to-day professional activities, whether it’s a small innovation or a groundbreaking application.
We are looking for submissions that reflect real-world, practical uses of Generative AI, such as (but not limited to):
- Automating repetitive processes.
- Generating technical reports or visualisations.
- Analysing or interpreting geotechnical data.
- Assisting with numerical modelling or design workflows.
- Enhancing collaboration or communication.
Event Details
Based on the submissions, a shortlist of innovative applications will be selected. The selected contributors will be invited to present their ideas and experiences in a short presentation at a dedicated AGS NSW Chapter event. This event aims to foster collaboration, inspire new ideas, and explore the growing role of AI in our industry.
How to Participate
To participate, please submit a brief overview of your application of Generative AI, using the form at the bottom of this page. Your submission should include:
- A concise description of how you use Generative AI.
- The impact or benefits it has brought to your work.
- Any challenges or lessons learned.
Please complete the form below by 12 May 2025.
If you have any questions or require more information, please contact Prof. Behzad Fatahi at [email protected]
This is your chance to share, learn, and inspire. Whether your example is simple or sophisticated, we want to hear from you!
Let’s explore together how Generative AI can reshape geotechnical engineering practice. We look forward to your contributions!
Warm regards,
