ISSMGE TC211 webinar on Bio-grouting

Posted

The International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) TC-211 Ground Improvement Technical Committee, presents the upcoming webinar, titled: Field-scale implementation of EICP and what comes next?

When: Friday 20 June 2025

Where: https://utsmeet.zoom.us/j/89658918418

In this webinar Dr Martin will present the results of a field-scale test program for Enzyme-Induced Carbonate Precipitation (EICP) that was conducted at Arizona State University’s Soils Field Laboratory. It builds upon previous bench and mid-scale studies, focusing on the feasibility of implementing EICP at a larger scale and evaluating its quality using existing methods. While the test results show promise, the presentation will explore the challenges that make it difficult to implement bio-based solutions, such as EICP, in practice.
