The Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS) is seeking expressions of interest from members who would like to represent AGS on several Standards Australia committees. These roles are a valuable opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of national standards that shape our profession.
We are currently looking to fill one seat on each of the following active committees:
- CE-009 – Testing of Soils for Engineering Purposes
- CE-012 – Aggregates and Rock for Engineering Purposes
- CE-032 – Earth retaining Structures
If you are interested in representing AGS on any of these committees, please complete the form below by Monday, 4 August 2025.
- A brief statement of interest (max. 300 words), outlining your relevant experience and motivation.
- A one-page CV
Submissions will be reviewed by myself (Chair AGS Newcastle Chapter) and two additional reviewers from the AGS National Stakeholder Group. Final selections will be made based on experience, alignment with committee scope, and diversity of representation.
