The Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS) is seeking an amendment to this Act. For your reference, please see the attached letter prepared by Trevor Smith and Darren Paul, which outlines the reasons behind our position.
We are currently finalising a memorandum that will provide further detail and guidance. . This will be shared with members next week. We will then be encouraging members to consider making their own independent submission in support of the proposed amendment.
Submissions are due by 25 July, and we will be in touch again shortly with the memorandum and next steps.
