The latest issue of the IAEG Connector newsletter can be read online.

Welcome to the 257th IAEG Connector, the electronic newsletter connecting environmental and engineering geologists around the world!

We have so much news this week! First, we want to introduce our new web editor, George Papathanassion of Greece. The YEG group is also reaching out to improve our presence with social media, and they have a list of places where you can follow IAEG. In the “Age of Information,” having a good presence with the media is so important, and we welcome our new helpers!

Second, we have the latest IAEG Congress in Chengdu notification with the schedule of the different days.

Third, we have the list of the Bulletin articles for the past three months for those who do not get the bulletin.

Fourth, this week is YEG’s 15th international webinar on May 25th! We have two excellent speakers!

Fifth, our sister society, International Geosynthetics, has sent us their latest newsletter link.

Lastly, we have many geological news items! Major landslides in the Congo, Mt. St. Helens (U.S.), British Columbia (Canada) and Utah (U.S.) are highlighted. Also, volcanoes are coming back to life in Mexico and Hawaii. We also had a 7.1 magnitude earthquake in New Caledonia.

Enjoy!
