Our congress in Chengdu, China is now over! It was very successful. We have three photos today and for the next four issues of the IAEG Connector we will have more photos and a summary of the many decisions made at the congress.
There are many geodisasters happening around the world. Major landslides are mentioned in China, South Africa and Guatemala. Swiss glaciers are melting rapidly, and a good article on turning mine waste in healthy soil are two additional articles. Volcanic activity in Chile and Santorini (Greece) is also mentioned. I also included an article on our new 8th continent of the world, Zealandia!
