AGS 2022 Industry Day at UNSW
The Sydney Chapter of the Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS) is pleased to present an Industry Day hosted at UNSW on 1st March, 2022. The Industry Day aims to introduce students to the geotechnical industry and AGS activities. This is followed by a series of short talks by AGS
members highlighting a day-in- the-life of practicing engineers.

Format
The Australian Geomechanics Society Sydney Chapter Chair will introduce the AGS. This will be followed by a brief introduction of the geotechnical industry.
Three practicing Geotechnical Engineers at different career stages will then present a day-in-the-life, looking at their journey, what you can expect in the future, challenges and rewards. They will also highlight some key projects they’ve worked on alongside challenges and lessons learnt.
The event will be held at UNSW, but shall be broadcast online for those off campus and at other universities.
Conditions
All participants are welcome to attend the online broadcast.
The in-person event is only available to UNSW students.
Due to COVID restrictions, there will be a capacity of 55 attendees for an IN-PERSON event.
In case an in-person event is not permitted, AGS will be running an ONLINE ZOOM WEBINAR
