Design considerations for cuttings, revetments and retaining structures for unsaturated clay

The SA/NT Chapter of the Australian Geomechanics Society is pleased to announce our one day seminar for 2016. This forms part of a continuing series of technical events organised by the Chapter and will focus on design for unsaturated clay.

Who should attend?

Geotechnical and structural professionals involved in the design, specification and construction of cuttings and retaining structures and others who wish to further their knowledge of the application of unsaturated soil mechanics in design.

The 2016 seminar will be a full day event consisting of a series of presentations and workshop style sessions where attendees will be given the opportunity to undertake interpretation and design activities. The focus of the seminar will be on design using an unsaturated soil mechanics approach with a number of topics to be covered including the following:
