Geotechnical baseline reports as an underground risk management tool
Jim Rozek
The presentation will explore the nature of underground risk, and Singapore’s management of uncertainty and unforeseen conditions in recent underground work. This talk will look in particular at two projects, the 48km Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS) Project and the 5 km Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE). The projects have important similarities in their use of geotechnical provided information as an underground risk management tool. The two projects represent an evolution from owners providing information for contractor interpretation to an owners provided interpretation, through Geotechnical Interpretative reports.
