Paul will present on ground conditions, geotechnical design and construction practice in the UK, Thailand and Australia. This technical talk will cover comparisons between each region as well as offering insights into best practice, innovation and lessons learned. 

Paul Bailie Associate Geotechnical Engineer, Geotechnical Discipline Lead, Arup

Paul is an associate geotechnical engineer and discipline lead at Arup in Adelaide, with 15 years experience in the design of major infrastructure projects including the Bangkok Orange Line, Thames Tideway, and HS2. Since moving to Adelaide last year, Paul has worked on T2D, the Adelaide tram grade separation project and a number of other projects in the region, working to optimise design solutions while ensuring that ground risk is understood, communicated and accounted for in appropriate construction planning and costing.
