Jack Morgan Young Geotechnical Practitioners Award 2025

The inaugural Jack Morgan Young Geotechnical Practitioners Award was presented in 2009. The award is presented biennially to an outstanding Victorian geotechnical practitioner under the age of 35. A call for abstracts was placed to our members in May. This year four applicants will each present on their chosen topic to our members with Jack Morgan in attendance to select a winning presentation.
Applicants will be judged on their contribution to geotechnics and understanding of geotechnical issues with our presenters competing for the following:
The winner will receive:
- a trophy;
- a cash prize of $1,500;
- a ticket to the Victoria Symposium.
Runners up will receive:
- a ticket to the Victoria Symposium.

- 5:30pm: Registrations open
- 6:00pm: Welcome and applicant presentations commence
- 7:30/8:00pm: Award announcements
- 8:00/8:30pm: Event concludes
