Let’s show our kids what Engineers can do !!!

Australian Geomechanics Society, Queensland (in collaboration with Brisbane Girls Grammar School) invites you to our inaugural school event, aimed at providing high school students (year 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11) with an insight into the daily life of a Geotechnical Engineers (Soil Engineers) on Monday 9th October, 2023 from 3:30 to 5:00 pm at the Brisbane Girls Grammar School (Louise McDonald Room).

The afternoon will include couple of short presentations by Engineering professionals sharing their day to day professional life. The society has acknowledged the need to collaborate with local schools and teachers to educate students about engineering. It is crucial to initiate these interactions with schools as early as possible since students require exposure to industry and career information when they are making important decisions.

If you are a student studying in years 7 to 11 or parent of a student in year 7 to 11, we encourage you to attend this event and learn more about Engineering industry. We are happy to answer any questions you have.

Free catering will be provided to all the attendees.

Registration

This is a free event, but we ask that students and parents register, to assist with catering and planning.
