Site Tour: Mass Soil Mixing
Queensland Train Manufacturing Program, Ormeau rail facility project
You are invited to see first-hand the ground improvement works undertaken to support the impressive Ormeau Rail Facility project. This facility is being constructed on a 66-hectare site in the Gold Coast region to accommodate the expanding passenger train fleet. We will be reviewing the ground improvement techniques used on this project, with a special focus on Mass Soil Mixing. Additionally, we will discuss design considerations, QA/QC, and constructability.
The tour will be hosted by Oceane Criton and Vincent Blanchett.

Requirements
All participants MUST provide their own PPE and wear it on site.
The minimum requirements to be let onto the site comprise:
- Photo ID.
- General Construction Induction (White Card).
- Hard hat.
- Safety glasses.
- Long-sleeved shirt (if this shirt is not hi-viz, a hi-viz vest must be worn over the long-sleeved shirt & the vest buttoned/zipped up).
- Long trousers.
- Steel-cap boots.
No photography is permitted onsite.

If you are unable to attend for any reason, please transfer your ticket to a colleague or contact us, so that no spot is wasted.
