As noted previously in the Australian Geomechanics (AG) journal and on the AGS website, a special issue of AG is planned for December 2021 publishing a collection of papers written by female geotechnical professionals (as the main author or a co-author). The response to the call for papers has been fantastic. Multiple requests have been received asking for an extension to the deadline for paper submissions, so this has been changed to the 31st of May 2021. Papers should be submitted using the usual process, as explained at https://ags.scholasticahq.com/for-authors. We look forward to receiving a wide range of technical papers containing contributions from female geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists.

The abstract submission deadline for ARMS11 has been extended to April 1st, 2021. Abstracts in English, of 300-500 words, on the theme Challenges and Opportunities in Rock Mechanics and Engineering should include a brief description of work performed, results, and significance. Figures may be included to explain the abstract. All abstracts and accepted papers will be peer-reviewed by experts in the respective subject areas through an online process.
