Cost considerations for geotechnical design and construction

The following discussion is a condensed version of a Geomechanics Society talk given in Septmeber 1984. The source of the cost information is both from the writer’s records plus a survey of 13 Contractors or Consultants in the Sydney area. Only a summarised form of the indicative costs, plus relevant trends in the survey responses, are given. The information is obviously most relevant to the Sydney area but it also gives guidance to other cities.
