Engineering Geophysics: a Geologist’s View
When asked to present “a geologist’s view” of engineering geophysics, and told that Robin Fell would follow with “an engineer’s view” I knew at once that this could be difficult (for both of us) as our views about engineering geophysics are likely to be virtually identical! This is because we have both spent some years working together with geophysicists in multidisciplinary project teams. Also, Robin is a geological engineer who spends much of his time thinking like a geologist, and I am an engineering geologist who spends much time thinking like an engineer. In preparing our papers we have tried to cover different aspects of our largely common view of engineering geophysics.
